President Donald Trump will be meeting Indian & Australian Prime Minister at two different events in Texas and Ohio. The main purpose of this meeting is to promote trade and investment in both countries.
According to the White House, Trump will be traveling to Houston, Texas on 22nd September to meet Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. The agenda of this meeting is to discuss various ways to strengthen their trade relationships.
After meeting Indian Prime Minister, President Trump will travel to Wapakoneta, Ohia to meet Australian Prime Minister, Scott Morrison. They both will then tour a newly opened Australian Owned manufacturing facility.
Trump is focusing on its trade relationships with India as in June, United States ended its preferential trade treatment for India which allows duty-free entry for up to $5.6 billion worth of its annual exports to the US.
Previously, Indian & US officials already had trade negotiation meetings with no result. Both of the countries have resumed trade talks after President Trump met Narendra Modi at G20 summit happened in France.
