Google Jumps into Gaming Industry with Google Stadia, Coming in 2019

Google Stadia Launch

Think Netflix, but for video games which will allow you to play on anything with an internet connection and a screen (no console or gaming PC required).

This is going to be a reality with Google's cloud-based game streaming service & named it as "Google Stadia". It provides the user with a "Play Now" button. Press it on any web browser & your game will launch within seconds without any buffering, downloading & installation. Google stadia will store selected games on their centralized servers & based on user input will send back the video & audio signals to the user interface.

It is a huge announcement by Google at Game Developers Conference held in San Francisco which is going to hurt many giants in this industry.

Google Stadia will allow users to play games virtually on every device they have. It includes TV, Phones, tablets, laptops, desktops.

For GPU, Google has partnered with AMD to build a custom GPU that will deliver 10.7 teraflops of power that will be much more than PS4, which delivers 4.7 teraflops & Xbox One X, which delivers 6 teraflops of power. So it is going to be a game changer.

Google also introduced its own controller which can be connected via Wifi to the device on which user will play the game. It will reduce the latency & lag that users are currently facing while using Bluetooth enabled controllers.

Initially, Stadia will launch in the US, Canada, UK & Europe. Stay tuned for further updates.
